| What is Voodoo Gas? |
| The VoodooGas Team, is a specialized safer trained group of divers. We should probably get you to understand the difference between SafeAir and Nitrox. Most of you understand that the term "Oxygen Enriched Air" means air that has been mixed with oxygen... thus Nitrox. When you mix air with oxygen, you must make sure that the air is of the highest purity. Impurities such as gaseous hydrocarbons, (solvents), condensed hydrocarbons, (oils), carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, water, and particulate matter, (silicone, paint shavings, metal flakes) when combined with high concentrations of oxygen can have a detrimental effect on your equipment or your body. This is why Scuba Schools of America, and the VoodooGas Team, hyper-filtrates all of the gas breathed no matter where we go. The majority of the diving industry uses a CGA, (Compressed Gas Association) Grade E standard of gas acceptance. SSA maintains a higher standard of gas usage. We maintain the ANDI, (American Nitrox Divers International) Standard for gas purity. SSA has the only hydrocarbon free gas system within 50 miles of the Pomona area, furthermore, we re-filter all of the gas on all of the boats we use and test the gas on a quarterly basis. Gas test results are available on request at the store. Look at the chart below and compare the CGA Grade E Standard and the ANDI O2 Compatable Gas Standard. |

| You can plainly see that the Grade E Air, a Diving Industry Standard, is just plain old dirty air. Notice the dew point, (Water Amount), the Condensed Hydrocarbons, (oils), and the Particulate Matter that is allowed within the gas stream. All of these contaminants will have a cumulative effect on your equipment system and your body. Scuba Schools of America, maintains the ANDI O2 Compatible Air Standard for all of our air, or SafeAir fills. So, just breathing our standard air fills are better for you and your equipment.
